Derek plays a key role in building and designing Zen’s modern scalable hosted solutions while achieving and maintaining Zen’s HITRUST CSF r2 certification for the Gemini Platform.

Michael Bedell

With degrees from the University of Colorado Boulder in operations and information management, Michael has shared joint responsibility with the CEO for the company’s financial and operational performance. As one of Zen’s first employees, he is passionate about creating a culture that upholds Zen’s key principles, and active in developing the guidelines and policies that will continue to enable Zen’s success as a market-leading interoperability platform.

Marilee Benson

Bringing boundless of positive energy to everything she takes on, Marilee is passionate about leveraging technology to improve the lives of and health outcomes for patients. Marilee has 30+ years of experience in the healthcare information technology sector. She plays an active leadership role in the healthcare interoperability community, currently serving on the Carequality Advisory Board. This industry expertise is invaluable for Zen clients seeking to keep up with a complex set of interoperability requirements.

Jim Benson

Jim has a passion for helping people solve challenging problems in healthcare technology, and a talent for building mission oriented teams with hard to find subject matter expertise. Jim’s achievement portfolio is nothing short of impressive with 30+ years of entrepreneurship, financial, and executive experience.
